I've owned the 13, 14, and 15 and this is my favorite so far.
Out of the box the Gan 16 was smooth and speedy/fast to a point that it's uncontrollable when trying to solve at speeds, the cube would easily over shoot. Quality is super high, the UV coating was flawless and the magnets where tight with no rattles.
After about an hour of testing different settings I was able to get it to my liking and my avg has improve slightly, about .5 to 1 sec. Super fun to try out all the different settings available on the 16 to fine tune it to your own style.
While super expensive the value is there if your looking for a top level cube.
This is a fantastic cube. Its surface is sleek, colors are bold, and the action is insanely smooth. It snaps nicely, and by using the tools provided you can adjust each face's tension, the center travel, and even replace the center magnets with a set of stronger or weaker ones. I'm actually quite happy with the existing settings, but tension and center travel are also easy to adjust (replacing the magnets obviously requires disassembly). It comes with its own protective case, and a bag to keep both the tools and cube together.
This is currently listed for $84, which obviously is a lot, but given the amount of customization, plus the satisfying feel and action, you'll never want another cube again.
I got this cube as a gift for a 5th-grader who is into speed cubing. The first thing to note is that the packaging is nice. The sturdy box is covered in an iridescent layer under the shrink wrap. It has the look of a fancy Pokemon card.
This was given as a gift, so I didn’t get good photos of the cube itself, but I did get to mess around with it. Functionally, it felt good in the hand and its movement was smooth, much more so than an original Rubik’s Cube. Is it dozens of dollars better? Mm, debatable. In fairness, I am not a puzzle cube expert, so the subtleties may be lost on me. In any case, the recipient was really excited to get what is evidently one of “the” speed cubes to have.

About “Pops”
Sometimes, especially when a cube is new, a piece might pop out during solving. This is called a “pop” and is normal in speed cubing. It doesn’t mean the cube is broken, and the piece can usually be reattached easily. Pops are not considered defects.
