GAN 460 M V2 UV Coated 4x4 Speed Cube

Amazing cube, what I’ve come to expect from Gan. I would recommend anyone purchasing this cube to break it in before making any adjustments. I was torn between getting version 1 or 2 ended up w two and Iam very satisfied.

Es el mejor Cubo 4x4 que he tenido, es totalmente un gama alta sin duda. La calidad de la pintura y los materiales son de alta calidad. Me encanta como se pueden ver los imanes. El cubo es super suave, muuy muuy rapido, al principio se me descontrolaba, ya luego de unas resoluciones me acostumbré y me encantó. Recomiendo totalmente tener buenos lubricantes, yo uso lubricante 1 y 3 de GAN.Lo unico que no mucho me gusto fue la caja blanca para transportalo, es muy bonita. Pero me parece mejor las cajas que hacian antes, como la del GAN 13, ya que era imantada.

The original Gan 460M was met with great excitement that quickly faded once people actually tried it. The inner layers were terrible and it was abandoned by all but the most diehard Gan fans.The v2 is now here and, well, it's better. Not great, just better.At 60mm, it feels quite large compared to recent 4x4s like the Aosu v7. The UV coating is nice and the cube looks great.Performance is decent with the outer layers again being pretty good. However, the catching issues that the first one had are still here. Not as bad but still present. In addition, it's basically impossible to get a good tension setting on this cube. It's too loose, you tighten it a hair and all corner cutting disappears while still being overly flexible.At the end of the day, this is a pretty good cube but others are either far cheaper and at least as good (base model Aosu v7) or better while also still being cheaper (top model Aosu v7).

A while ago I received a 3x3 cube from CuberShop, and I loved the incredible degree of customization that was possible with it, so when I saw that there was a 4x4 from them, I was expecting much the same. I do understand how exponentially difficult that would be to do, however, but this cube doesn't have nearly the same amount of customization.In the package you get the 4x4 cube in its case, a carrying pouch, and a leaflet that describes how to solve 4x4 cubes. Even though there is no customization, there has been a lot of care taken to make turns easy. The bottom two and top two layers of each side magnetically snap into place using one magnet at each layer corner, and the middle two layers connect via two magnets at the layer corners (so basically, along each edge, the magnet pattern goes 1-2-1). This makes flicks of the outside layers pretty easy, but if your hands are really trained for these (which mine aren't), flicks of the middle layers can be a bit more difficult. That's a skill issue though, not a criticism. You don't have as much leeway with cutting corners on this one as you would a 3x3 speedcube though; maybe 10 degrees into a turn, and that's it.Really, my main critique at the end of the day is a lack of customization options at all. It would have been nice to adjust the tension on the outer layers at the very least. I do understand the engineering difficulties of adjusting multiple axes at once, though, but I would've appreciated at least something. I was able to give it some decent force though, and it didn't feel like it was gonna pop at all. Overall, very solid 4x4, though.
