At the heart of the GAN17 is a compact 17.5 mm micro magnetic core containing 20 magnets. By combining magnetic attraction and repulsion, the core, intermediate relay, and outer positioning zones work together to guide each layer from the beginning of a turn through final alignment.

Sometimes, especially when a cube is new, a piece might pop out during solving. This is called a “pop” and is normal in speed cubing. It doesn’t mean the cube is broken, and the piece can usually be reattached easily. Pops are not considered defects.
