Forgot to review this, but almost 2 years later this cube is outstanding and has never broken or even popped out. It is so satisfying to work withAmazing!
Right out of the box the cube was set to just about the perfect tension. For being a 7x7 and only $35, this thing functions extremely well. The turning is smooth and crisp, and very forgiving on misalignments. I've never once had it jam or catch on me. Neither has it ever knocked a piece out in corner cutting. Though, I am certainly not using it aggressively or with any regard to speed cubing.Now, the reason for the minus one star is because of the magnets. They are laughably weak. I know you can't expect much from a 7x7 this small, but I'd still like to feel a bit of snap to it. As it is, you need to set the tension springs to their lowest setting to even be able to feel that it has magnets.Lastly, I have one minor negative to note. Really it's probably just a me problem, and I don't know exactly what the issue might be. Quite a few times now I have accidentally grabbed the first row/column along with the edge row/column when rotating, and not noticed. It has really screwed me over a couple times.
At first the cube is a little bit hard to turn, but once you play around with the cube enough it is really smooth. The cube doesn’t pop at all which is great.
