The brand name GAN speaks for itself in terms of quality. I can confirm that this mat aligns with the quality of GAN cubes. It's a good thickness, so it provides plenty of cushion for the dramatic finish (cube drop). The colors are vibrant and attractive. It rolls for quick and easy storage. We have several other cube mats of different brands. This one is thicker and differently shaped than the others. My son is a bit of a brand snob, he's 9, and his favorite of all our mats is this GAN. Comparatively speaking, the price of this mat is on par, maybe even lower than most.
The mat is high quality and well made with no frays in the material or stitching, color is vibrant with clean silkscreening. Thick enough to protect the cube from damage but easily rolls away for storage. The mat has 4 holes cut out to allow attaching a speed timer to it.

About “Pops”
Sometimes, especially when a cube is new, a piece might pop out during solving. This is called a “pop” and is normal in speed cubing. It doesn’t mean the cube is broken, and the piece can usually be reattached easily. Pops are not considered defects.
